Funding from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore will be made available to local nonprofit organizations on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore. The semi-annual Community Needs Grant Program benefits organizations serving the Lower Shore, with a $5,000 maximum award per nonprofit.
Organizations serving citizens on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland are encouraged to apply for funding. Applicants must be 501c3 nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations providing non-sectarian programs, or eligible programs within government agencies. The next deadline for Community Needs Grant application is August 1st.
These competitive grants are awarded to benefit organizations serving Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties at least twice each year. Grants are awarded to a wide range of nonprofit organizations including, but not limited to those that serve health and human services, education, arts and culture, community development, environment and historic preservation.
