The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) awarded a $5,000 Community Needs Grant to the Friends of Delmarva Public Radio to support the creation and broadcasting of Delmarva Almanac. This program broadcasts cultural, heritage, and natural resource information to Delmarva Public Radio listeners.

Licensed to the Salisbury University Foundation, Delmarva Public Radio began broadcasting classical music to the Delmarva Peninsula as WSCL, 89.5 FM on May 29, 1987. Eleven years later, on February 13, 1998, WSDL, 90.7 FM. Delmarva Public Radio broadcasts classical music, news and information programs twenty-four hours a day, including live internet streaming.
