The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) awarded a $4,000 Community Needs Grant to The Charles H. Chipman Foundation to support a Masters Piece performing artist guild for 2015 cultural performances.
The Charles H. Chipman Foundation operates the Chipman Cultural Center, located in Salisbury, Maryland. The Chipman Cultural Center is the oldest African American wood church structure on the lower eastern shore. Built in 1837 during the Civil War, the building predates the formation of Wicomico County.
