ShoreCAN Volunteer Center

Since 2009, The ShoreCAN Volunteer Center has encouraged volunteerism by connecting individuals and groups, who have the time and talent, to opportunities for service with local nonprofit organizations.  Our mission is to connect prospective volunteers to support the volunteer needs of nonprofit organizations in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties.

Interested in volunteering?  You can browse nonprofits by county served, area of impact, volunteer category, or active volunteer needs.  You can also look for one-time opportunities on our event calendar.

All nonprofits have a volunteer coordinator listed – please contact them directly.

If you cannot find exactly what you are looking for, give us a call at 410-742-9911, or email and we will help locate the best volunteer opportunity for you!

We are happy to match individuals, clubs, families, or groups to local volunteer projects.

Partnering with the ShoreCAN Volunteer Center not only brings in additional volunteers, but it also opens up agencies to a host of volunteer-management tools, trainings, and other resources. Our volunteer center staff will enter all information into the volunteer database for you.

We are pleased to help your organization recruit volunteers.   If you would like to add or update your profile to our database, please download and use this form:  Organization Profile Worksheet

If you would like to send a new volunteer opportunity or event announcement, please download and use this form Volunteer Opportunity Worksheet

Our referral method encourages interested volunteers to directly contact you. Please ensure the contact information on your form is accurate.

We specialize in marketing your volunteer needs through a variety of methods including:  website, social media, print media, email bulletins, word of mouth, and public events.

Completed forms can be scanned and emailed to, or faxed to 410-742-6638.

Please give us five business days to process all requests.
