The Salisbury Arts & Entertainment Committee, a subcommittee of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, has received a $1,000 grant from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore to replace a public art mural in Salisbury’s Downtown Historic/Arts & Entertainment District.

Located on the Route 50 side of City Center in the Salisbury Arts and Entertainment District, national artist James Thatcher painted the original heron mural project in 1994 in memory of his wife who passed away from cancer. Thatcher has updated and redesigned the mural which will be unveiled in June.
