As a professional advisor you may play a key role in helping your clients structure their charitable giving plans. Your clients look to you for legal and/or tax advice.
Whatever your question, the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES), can be a resource to you in helping your clients meet their philanthropic goals.
When a donor wishes to establish a fund at CFES, the donor must sign a founding document which details how the fund will be managed. This gives the Community Foundation a clear understanding of the donor's charitable intent. Usually, the process begins by taking the appropriate sample founding document and customizing it for the donor's fund. No two founding documents are alike.
Disclaimer: No Founding Document is recognized by the Community Foundation unless it is signed by the Donor and countersigned by an officer of the Community Foundation. If you or your client is interested in opening a fund at the Community Foundation, please contact the Foundation to begin this process.
For more information about how CFES assists professional advisors in their work with your clients contact either the Foundation’s president or director of development at 410-742-9911.
